This year, lawyers from KPW are again among the best lawyers in Germany according to Handelsblatt and Best Lawyers.
Best Lawyers and Handelsblatt
The current edition of the Best Lawyers and Handelsblatt rankings again honors attorneys who have distinguished themselves in their respective fields through special expertise and a strong professional reputation. The selection is not based on a traditional application process, but on a peer review procedure: In other words, other lawyers are asked to assess which colleagues they would recommend on the basis of their professional performance.
The procedure is thus based on the idea that legal quality should be assessed by those who know the requirements of lawyers’ work from their own professional experience. The decisive factor is not self-presentation, but recognition by the market and by expert professional colleagues.
Own suggestions are excluded. Inclusion in the ranking requires that third parties make a corresponding recommendation. The award shows that the professional work is not only noticed by clients, but is also recognized within the legal profession.

We are very pleased that Clemens Pfitzer and Dr. Markus Wekwerth are again listed in this year’s Best Lawyers ranking and are thus among “Germany’s best lawyers 2026” according to Handelsblatt.

Dr. Markus Wekwerth is one of the excellent lawyers in the current ranking in the field of intellectual property and litigation. He has also been assisting national and international companies for many years in the enforcement, defense and strategic protection of their intellectual property rights.
