The selection is not based on a traditional application process, but on a peer review procedure: In other words, other lawyers are asked to assess which colleagues they would recommend on the basis of their professional performance. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The procedure is thus based on the idea that legal quality should be assessed by those who know the requirements of lawyers&#8217; work from their own professional experience. The decisive factor is not self-presentation, but recognition by the market and by expert professional colleagues. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Own suggestions are excluded. Inclusion in the ranking requires that third parties make a corresponding recommendation.
